On Monday, Nov. 26, World Vision took Carol, Tracy, and me to the village of Bandajuma in the Bagbo ADP. to meet Marian Vandy and her family. Marian is 5 years old and lives with her grandparents, parents, and younger brother.
We were greeted by the entire village with singing and dancing.
Even the village mascot showed up!
I read the book "The Kissing Hand" to everyone
then presented it to Marian.
We met the Village Elders
and the Head Master of the school.
I shared pictures of my family with Marian's family.
We visited the 3 room school and delivered school supplies.
Paper, pencils, colored pencils, and sharpeners.
The gift of two "footballs" to the school was a huge hit with the children!
Saying good-bye was very hard.
I want to thank everyone for making this part of my trip possible.
The wonderful people at World Vision, Lizbeth, Samuel, John, Joseph, and Dora. My fellow team mates, Bob and Carol Stoner, Tracy Stewart, BJ Janek, Jim Cox, and Chris Jackson. The people at the Mission Training Center in Bo. The generous men and women I work with, and my friends and family at home that helped buy supplies. Thank you all. My heart is full!
